Member actions

Updated 17 July 2026

Everything you can do to an individual member lives in two places on the Users page: the profile drawer, and the three-dot action menu on each row.

View a member's profile

Click anywhere on a member's row to slide open the profile drawer from the right. It shows the member's avatar, details and activity, and gives you quick access to plan editing. The same drawer appears across the dashboard, for example when you tap a name in Messages, so a member is never more than a click away.

The row action menu

The three-dot button at the end of each row opens the action menu:

  • View profile opens the drawer described above.
  • Change role promotes or demotes the member; see Roles and permissions.
  • Edit plan manually sets the member's membership plan.
  • Reset password emails the member a password-reset link.
  • Ban user removes the member's access to your app.
  • Mute user / Unmute user silences a disruptive member without banning them.

Edit a member's plan

Choose Edit plan to open the plan modal. You can select No paid plan (free) or any plan you have configured under Settings, with each option showing its price and billing interval. Manual grants are recorded as "comped" memberships, which makes them easy to distinguish from genuine purchases in your revenue numbers.

This is handy for gifting access to a founding member, honouring a purchase made elsewhere, or comping a refund case while you sort it out.

Tip: if the modal says "No plans defined yet", create your membership plans first under Settings, then come back.

Send a password reset

Choose Reset password and confirm. Kinflo sends a password-reset email to the address on the member's account, and a toast confirms it went out. This is the fastest way to unblock a member who writes in saying they cannot log in. For the member-side view of this flow, see Member accounts and passwords.

Mute and ban

Mute keeps the member in your community but silences them; muted members show an amber Muted badge next to their name in the table, and you can unmute at any time from the same menu. Ban is the stronger option for members who should no longer have access at all.

Both actions are also available as bulk actions: select multiple members with the row checkboxes and open any three-dot menu to apply Mute users or Ban users to the whole selection at once.
