Moderation

Updated 17 July 2026

When a member reports a post or comment in the app, it lands in your moderation queue. Open Community in the sidebar and switch to the Moderation tab to review it.

Reading the queue

Each report is a row in the table with:

  • Type - whether the reported item is a post or a comment.
  • Content - a preview of the reported text. If the item was media-only or has already been removed you will see "(no text / already removed)".
  • Reporter - which member filed the report.
  • Reason - the reason the member selected when reporting.
  • Reported - how long ago the report came in.

When there is nothing waiting you will see "Nothing to review". New reports do not refresh live on this tab, so click the Refresh button above the table to pull in anything reported since you opened the page.

Acting on a report

Every row has two actions:

  • Dismiss - the content is fine. The report is cleared and the post or comment stays up. Nothing changes for the author or the reporter.
  • Remove - the content breaks your rules. The reported post or comment is removed from the app for all members, and the report is resolved.

Both actions confirm with a toast ("Report dismissed" or "Post removed" / "Comment removed").

Tip: removal is permanent and there is no undo, so open the reported content from the Posts tab first if you want to read it in full context, including its comments, before deciding.

Removing content that has not been reported

The moderation queue only lists content members have flagged. If you spot something yourself that needs to come down, delete it directly from the Posts tab using the row's three-dot menu, or handle the member on the Members page (view profile, change role, mute or ban).

Reducing what needs moderating

A few settings can lower your moderation load:

  • Turn Posts / Feed off in Community settings so only moderators and admins can post.
  • Mark sensitive spaces as Admin only so members can read but not post there, as covered in Spaces.
  • Disable Comments, Polls or Sharing individually if a particular feature attracts trouble.

Moderators you appoint on the Members page can also act on reports, so you do not have to be the only person watching the queue.
