Spaces

Updated 17 July 2026

Spaces group related posts together, a bit like channels or topics. Members can browse a space on its own or filter the feed by it, and every post filed into a space carries the space's coloured dot.

Create a space

  1. Go to Community and open the Spaces tab.
  2. Click Create Space.
  3. Fill in the form:
  • Name - what members see, for example "Fitness Tips".
  • Description - a short line about what the space is for.
  • Colour - pick one of the six presets or set a custom colour. This colour appears as the space's dot throughout the feed.
  • Cover image - optional. It is shown wide across the top of the space with the name and description overlaid, and the dialog previews exactly how that will look.
  • Admin only - when on, only admins can post in this space. Ideal for announcements.
  • Access - "Open to everyone" or "Members only (paid)". Members-only spaces are hidden from users without an active paid membership.
  1. Click Create space.

Tip: the "Members only (paid)" option is disabled until you have at least one paid plan. Create one under Settings, then come back and gate the space.

Edit or delete a space

Each space appears as a card on the Spaces tab showing its colour, name, description and a Public or Admin only badge. Use the three-dot menu on a card to Edit (same form as creation) or Delete.

Deleting a space does not delete the posts inside it; they simply lose their space label and stay in the main feed.

What members see

In the app, members see spaces as browsable sections of your community. Posts filed into a space show the coloured dot and space name, and the space's cover image (if set) heads its page. When a member creates a post they can pick a space from the same picker you use in the dashboard composer.

If you would rather not use spaces at all, turn the Spaces toggle off in Community settings. Existing spaces are hidden going forward but not deleted.

Styling

The layout of the spaces list in the app is styled in the Style Manager rather than here: open Style Manager, choose the Community scope from the feature dropdown, and adjust the Spaces List section while watching the phone preview.
