Your first week checklist

Updated 17 July 2026

Your dashboard is provisioned and working from day one, but a great app is built in layers. Here is a realistic plan for your first week. Each item links to the tools you need.

Day 1 to 2: make it yours

  1. Brand it. Open the Style Manager and go to the Branding tab. Upload your logo and app icon, and add any custom fonts. Then open the Styles tab and set your colour palette and typography. See Colours, fonts and global styles.
  2. Check your features. Visit Manage Features and confirm the right features are on. Anything you toggle changes both your sidebar and your members' app.
  3. Arrange the navigation. In the Style Manager's Menus tab, decide what sits in your app's tab bar (up to five tabs) and what lives in the drawer. See Menus: the tab bar and drawer.

Day 3 to 4: build the experience

  1. Design your homepage. Use the Homepage tab to pick a home screen, or build a custom one from blocks, hero banner, course row, product shelf and more. See The homepage builder.
  2. Shape member onboarding. The Onboarding tab controls the screens new members see on first launch. Add a welcome image, a question or two, and your paywall if you sell memberships. See The onboarding flow builder.
  3. Add your first content. Publish a welcome post in your Feed, create one or two spaces, and draft your first course or product. An app with content feels alive; an empty one does not.

Day 5: check it on a real phone

  1. Preview on device. Use the Preview on device button in the Style Manager and open your app on your own phone. Walk the whole journey as a member would: onboarding, homepage, feed, checkout. See Preview your app on your phone.

Fix anything that feels off now, before members see it. Small things, an off-brand colour, a broken-feeling empty screen, matter more on a phone than in a mockup.

Day 6 to 7: open the doors

  1. Invite founding members. Share your web app link with a small trusted group. Their posts seed the community, and their feedback is gold.
  2. Set up your first push notification. The Marketing page lets you compose and schedule pushes with a live phone preview. A welcome broadcast to your founders is a good first send.
  3. Review your numbers. Your Dashboard shows MRR, active users, new users and conversion at a glance, get in the habit of checking it.

After week one

Keep iterating: refine styles with the live preview, publish regularly, and when you are ready to submit to the app stores, head to the Builds page in the sidebar for the requirements checklist and submission status.
