How loyalty points work

Loyalty gives your app a points programme: members collect points and spend them on rewards you define. Open Loyalty in the sidebar; the page has four tabs: Overview, Rewards, Members and Activity.
Set up the programme
On the Overview tab, click Edit on the Programme card and configure:
- Name - the programme's name, for example "Glow Club".
- Points label - what a point is called in your app ("points", "stars", "leaves").
- Welcome points - credited once, automatically, when a member joins the programme.
- Programme active - pausing hides the loyalty card and rewards in the app without deleting anything.
Click Save programme. There is one programme per app.
How members join
A member's loyalty account is created the first time they open their loyalty card in the app; that is also when their welcome points are credited. Each account gets a personal short code (shown with their card) which is how you find them when awarding points.
How points are earned
Points are awarded by you and your team, typically in person:
- The member shows you the loyalty card in their app, which displays their code.
- In the dashboard, open Loyalty, go to the Members tab and search by name, username or code.
- Click the member to open their drawer, enter the number of points and an optional note, and click Award points.
The member's balance updates immediately. The drawer also supports adjustments, signed corrections that can add or remove points, for fixing mistakes.
Tip: always add a note when awarding ("Bought the retreat", "Referral bonus"). Notes appear in the activity log and on the member's history, so both sides can see why every point exists.
Following the activity
- The Overview tab shows Members enrolled, Points issued (30d) and Redemptions (30d) stat cards, plus the last ten transactions.
- The Activity tab lists every transaction across the programme, newest first, with its type (earn, redeem, adjust or welcome), the points, the reward or note, and which staff member did it.
- Each member's drawer shows their personal history, balance and lifetime points.
Spending points
Members spend points on your reward catalogue; build it in Rewards and see the member side in The member rewards screen.
