How members attend

Updated 17 July 2026

Here is what an event looks like from your members' side, from discovering it to turning up.

Discovering the event

Published events appear in the Events section of your app. Each event page shows the cover image or video, the date and time converted to the member's own timezone, the location (platform label for virtual events, venue address for in-person ones), the description and any itinerary you added.

Events also travel around your app: members can share an event into a chat, where it renders as a compact event card, and event cards can appear attached to posts in the feed. Either way, a tap opens the full event page, so a well-shared event markets itself.

RSVPing

What happens when a member taps to attend depends on the event's RSVP mode (set per event; see Free and paid events):

  • Instant - they are confirmed immediately.
  • Form - they answer your questions first, then they are confirmed.
  • Paid - they are taken to a Stripe checkout to buy their ticket. Their place is confirmed when payment succeeds, and the charge lands in your connected Stripe account.

If the event has a capacity and it is full, new respondents are waitlisted rather than confirmed.

Once they are going

Confirmed attendees get a "going" state on the event page with several useful actions:

  • Join link - for virtual events, the meeting URL appears for confirmed attendees only. It is never shown to members who have not RSVPed.
  • Add to calendar - on mobile the event is added straight to the device calendar; on the web app it downloads a standard .ics file that opens in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
  • Cancel - members can cancel their RSVP, which frees their place for the waitlist.

Tip: put anything attendees need beforehand (what to bring, how to prepare) in the description or itinerary, since that is what they will re-read from their calendar link on the day.

What you see on your side

Every RSVP, answer, payment and cancellation shows up in the event's Attendees tab in the dashboard, with a CSV export for check-in lists. Publishing, cancelling and the event lifecycle are covered in Publishing and drafts.
