Sidebar navigation and how features shape it

The sidebar on the left is your map of the dashboard. It shows your app's logo and name at the top, a search box, the navigation itself, and your own profile at the bottom. Crucially, it is not a fixed list: it reflects which features your app has enabled.

The sections

Sections that are always present:

• Dashboard, the overview page with your key numbers.
• Users, your member management table.
• Marketing, push notification composer, scheduling and history.
• Style Manager, branding, layouts, menus, homepage and member onboarding.
• Analytics, date-ranged metrics and charts.
• Settings, general settings, team, integrations and billing.
• Builds, app versions, updates and store submission status.
• Manage Features, the feature toggles that shape everything else.

Sections that appear only when their feature is enabled:

• Messages, your inbox (messaging feature).
• Feed, posts, spaces and moderation (community feature).
• Storefront, products, orders and categories (shop feature).
• Courses, course building and student progress.
• Events, free and paid events.
• Bookings, session types and availability.
• Loyalty, points and rewards.
• Content Pages, pages and podcasts.

Features drive visibility

If a feature is switched off at Manage Features, its sidebar entry disappears, along with the corresponding part of your members' app. Toggle it back on and both return, with their data intact. Nothing is deleted by hiding a feature.

The same logic runs through the whole platform: the Style Manager's feature-scope dropdown, the homepage builder's block library and your app's own navigation all follow your enabled features.

Handy sidebar details

• Unread badge. Messages shows a red badge with your unread conversation count, so you can see new messages from anywhere.
• Collapse. The chevron at the top collapses the sidebar to an icon rail, hover an icon to see its label in a tooltip. Collapse it when you want maximum room, for example while working in the Style Manager.
• Search. The search box at the top opens global search, also available with Cmd-K. See Global search and Cmd-K.
• Your profile. Your avatar, name and email sit at the bottom. Click for a menu with Settings and Logout.
• On mobile. Below tablet width the sidebar becomes a floating menu button in the corner of the screen, everything is still there, just tucked away.

Sidebar versus app navigation

One distinction worth keeping clear: the sidebar is your navigation as the app's owner. Your members' navigation, the tab bar and drawer inside your app, is designed separately in the Style Manager's Menus tab, see Menus: the tab bar and drawer. Enabling a feature makes it available in both places, but you choose how it is arranged for members.
