Session types

Updated 17 July 2026

Session types are the services clients can book with you: a discovery call, a 60-minute 1:1, a check-in. Open Bookings in the sidebar and switch to the Session types tab.

Create a session type

Click New session type and fill in the dialog:

  • Name - for example "1:1 Coaching Call".
  • Description - what clients get from the session.
  • Image - optional. Uploaded images are shown on the session card in the app in place of the location icon, which makes your booking page feel much more personal.
  • Duration (min) - the session length. Slots are generated at this length from your availability.
  • Price - set 0 for a free session, or any amount for a paid one.
  • Currency - GBP, USD, EUR or AUD.
  • Recurring package - toggle on for repeat sessions billed weekly or monthly. For now clients pay for the first session at booking; automatic recurring billing is coming soon.
  • Location - Video, Phone or In person. For video sessions, add the Meeting URL; it is only shared with confirmed clients and never shown publicly.
  • Buffer before / after (min) - breathing room around each booking. A 60-minute session with a 15-minute after-buffer blocks 75 minutes of your calendar per booking.

Click Create session type.

Tip: buffers are the difference between a humane day and back-to-back calls. Even 10 minutes after each session keeps a full day workable.

Managing the list

Each session type appears as a card showing its duration, price, location type and a Weekly/Monthly badge for recurring packages. From the card you can:

  • Reorder with the up/down arrows. This is the order clients see on your booking page, so put your main offer first.
  • Toggle active - deactivating hides the session type from your booking page without deleting it. Deactivated cards are dimmed. Great for seasonal offers.
  • Edit with the pencil icon.
  • Delete with the bin icon. Existing bookings keep their history; deletion only removes the option from the booking page.

What clients see

On the booking screen in your app, clients pick a session type, then a date and time from your available slots, then confirm (and pay, if the session is priced). Availability is set separately on the Availability tab, and the payment flow is covered in Paid bookings.
