Custom domains

Every Kinflo app gets a web address the moment it is created, and you can also connect a domain you own. Both are managed from the Custom Domain card in Settings, under General.
Your kinflo.app subdomain
Your hosted web app is always available at your Kinflo subdomain, for example yourname.kinflo.app. It appears at the top of the Custom Domain card with an Active badge, needs no setup, and keeps working even after you connect a custom domain. Connect your own domain
- In Settings, under General, find the Custom Domain card.
- Type your domain, for example community.yourbrand.com, and click Add domain.
- Kinflo shows a table of DNS records (Type, Name, Value) to add with your DNS provider. Each value has a copy button.
- Add the records where you manage your domain (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap and so on), then wait a few minutes.
The card shows the domain's live status as a pill:
- Waiting for DNS: the records have not been detected yet.
- Verifying: DNS is pointing here and the certificate is being issued.
- Active: your domain is live with SSL.
Kinflo re-checks automatically every 15 seconds while you are on the page, and you can click Check status to check on demand. SSL certificates are issued automatically once DNS points at Kinflo; there is nothing to buy or upload.
Tip: a subdomain such as community.yourbrand.com or app.yourbrand.com is usually the smoothest choice. It keeps your main website untouched and typically only needs a single CNAME record.
How long does it take?
DNS changes usually propagate within minutes, but some providers take up to a few hours. If the status stays on Waiting for DNS for a long time, double-check that the record Name and Value match the table exactly, with no trailing dots or duplicated hostnames.
Remove a domain
Click the bin icon next to the domain and confirm. Your kinflo.app subdomain is unaffected and keeps serving your web app.
A note on social sign-in
If your members sign in with Google or Apple, the card may show a note about OAuth after you add a domain. Sign-in continues to work; the note simply flags that the provider consent screen may display your Kinflo address until provider settings catch up.
