Content categories

Categories group your content posts so members can filter the library by topic. Each category has a name and a colour, and posts wear their category as a coloured pill.

Create a category

1. Open Content Pages and switch to the Categories tab.
2. Click New Category.
3. Give it a Name (for example "Growing Guides") and pick a Colour with the colour picker.
4. Click Create category.

The category is now available in the composer's category dropdown and in the Posts tab filter.

Assign posts to categories

Pick the category in the composer when you publish, or edit an existing post and change its category there; see Content posts. A post can have one category or none. Each category row shows a live post count so you can see which topics are filling up.

Reorder categories

Use the up and down arrows on the left of each category row. This order is the order categories are listed in filters, so lead with the topics you publish most.

Edit or delete

The three-dot menu on each row offers:

• Edit - rename the category or change its colour. Every post in it updates instantly.
• Delete - removes the category. Posts in it are not deleted; they just become uncategorised, and you can re-file them into another category afterwards by editing each post.

Categories versus community spaces

If you also run a community, note the distinction: spaces organise member conversation in the feed, while content categories organise your official library. They are managed separately and do not share names or colours. A common pattern is broad spaces for discussion ("General", "Wins") and more precise content categories ("Beginner guides", "Recipes", "Q&A replays").

When the tab is empty

"No categories yet" is fine to leave for small libraries; every post simply publishes uncategorised and the filter shows only "All Categories". Add categories once you have enough posts that members would benefit from filtering, and then edit older posts to file them.
