Set up your app in the onboarding wizard
Updated 17 July 2026
After you create your account, the onboarding wizard walks you through setting up your app. It is a short series of questions with a progress bar along the top, and your answers directly shape the app and dashboard that get provisioned for you. Every answer can be changed later, so do not agonise over any of them.
The steps
- Name your app. This is the name your members will see. It needs at least two characters, and you can rename it later in Settings.
- Audience size. From "Under 1,000" to "100,000+". This helps Kinflo tailor recommendations to where you are.
- Annual revenue. From pre-revenue upwards. Again, purely to tailor the experience, it does not affect pricing.
- Topics. Pick the subjects your community is about, from Fitness & Health to Business, Education, Music and more. Choose at least one.
- Features. Tick the features your app should launch with. Feed and Courses are recommended and pre-selected; you can also enable Shop, Content Pages, Live Coaching & Events, Workout Builder, Bookings and Affiliate Shop. Pick at least one.
- Logo. Upload a logo if you have one, or press Skip for now, you can add it in the Style Manager's Branding tab any time.
Your answers save automatically in your browser as you go. If you close the tab halfway through, the wizard resumes exactly where you left off next time you sign in.
The final step
For new creators the last step is the plan picker, which sends you to Stripe Checkout, see Create your account and choose a plan. If your subscription is already live (for example you paid earlier but did not finish setup), you instead see a Ready to launch summary of everything you chose, with a Launch my dashboard button.
What provisioning does
When payment is confirmed, Kinflo builds your workspace from your answers:
- Your app record is created with your name, logo and enabled features.
- Your dashboard sidebar shows a section for every feature you switched on.
- Sensible default styles, menus and a member onboarding flow are set up, ready to customise.
You then land on your dashboard with a guided tour. If provisioning hits a snag, you are returned to the wizard with your payment intact, fix the highlighted issue and launch again.
Changing your answers later
Nothing in the wizard is final:
- Features are toggled on and off at Manage Features.
- Name and logo live in Settings and in the Style Manager Branding tab.
- Everything visual, colours, fonts, menus, homepage, member onboarding, is edited in the Style Manager.
Next: preview your app on your phone to see your choices running live.
